Presbyterian Boot Camp

In a continued effort to strengthen our PCUSA denomination, First Presbyterian
Church of Manhattan, Kansas
 is sponsoring a daylong “Presbyterian Boot Camp”
conference on November 10 for Presbyterian pastors and lay leaders, featuring
dynamic speakers who will help renew and reenergize your ministries.

 

“Simple Tools to Revitalize a Ministry” Speaker: Mark Devries, Founder of Youth Ministry Architects. Mark worked as the Associate Pastor for Youth and their Families at First Presbyterian Church in Nashville, TN for 28 years before moving on as founder of Youth Ministry Architects, now Ministry Architects. He is also a published author and editor.

 

 

 

“How to Build a Dynamic Youth Program”– Speaker: Brian Aaby, Director of Youth Specialties (YS) Search and YS Coaching for Youth Specialties. After 17 years as a Youth Pastor he founded Youthmark, known for their Mission51 concepts–training and resources for the 51 weeks beyond a mission trip. He speaks and consults nationally.

 

 

“Preaching in the Age of Tweeting”- Speaker: Steve McConnell, Senior pastor, Church of the Palms, Sarasota, FL. Rev. McConnell, former senior pastor of Liberty Corner Presbyterian Church in NJ, graduated from Westminster College in PA and attended Princeton Theological Seminary.
