We offer many educational opportunities at First Presbyterian, including bible studies throughout the week, Sunday school classes, small groups, seminars taught by the pastors, and “First Academy” classes featuring topics relevant to “faith and action,” understanding that with more knowledge we become more equipped to represent Christ.

As a community of disciples, we believe that growing both spiritually and in our knowledge of scripture are essential to Christian development.

At First Presbyterian, we offer a number of opportunities for our members and friends to grow in their faith and relationship with God in various settings, environments and activities. We encourage everyone to take advantage of opportunities to help them grow through developing spiritual disciplines, cultivating prayer life and learning in a group or classroom setting.

Christian Education is essential to developing a healthy and vibrant faith, and we hope to foster such a faith through providing these opportunities to cultivate a deeper, stronger faith.

“I am the vine, and you are the branches. The one who abides in me, and I in them, will bear much fruit. Apart from me you can do nothing.”
– John 15:5

Classes & Study Series

Adult Sunday School
Education is an important part of our faith, and one of the ways that we seek to grow together as Christians is through Sunday School each Sunday morning at 9:15 a.m.

First Academy
First Academy features monthly programs and speakers. These presentations create a forum for members, friends, and the community to address topics in our society today that intertwine faith and culture. All programs will meet in the sanctuary and are normally held the second Monday of the month.
