"The Board of Deacons shall minister to those in need, to the sick, to the friendless and to any who may be in distress" (The Book of Order).  The Deacons have two major functions: one to serve the community and one to serve the congregation.  The activities within the two major functions change as needs change or new needs arise.  Our goal is to involve as many members of the congregation as possible in carrying out the functions of this Board.
